![]() ![]() ![]() Best known for her detective novels, Agatha Christie is only outsold by the Bible and Shakespeare! Here is a delightful account of Christie's interesting life and career. A touching note written just two months after Christie's death and a rare memento from her husband Max Mallowan. Christie is pictured with Max Mallowan in 1931 celebrating their marriage aboard a Nile steamer in Egypt. Accompanying the book is a hand-written postcard addressed to Philip Dosse Esq from Max Mallowan and reads "Wallingford//How very good of you/to reprint the New Statesman Appeal in/the Memorial to my/ beloved wife. This, a review copy from Collins, bears their review slip attached to the front endpaper. The boards are free from notable wear and the text blocks are bright but with a hint of spotting. It is not price clipped - with price erased. There are some slight chips to the top of the spine. Mallowan, pose in March 1946 on the grounds of their home, Greenway House, in the county of Devon in England.
